Worth every penny!
I am a "tech person" but, it is really nice to literally open up the box of goodies, power everything up and be on the air within minutes. The Training course is designed well with short-ish snippets to get you going and deeper into what your equipment can do.
Greetings to all.. the biggest barrier for many ham's I have spoken to has been the lack of room to mount their mobile radios in newer vehicles. Newer vehicles lack the room to mount your wonderful radios, yet you refuse to develop a removable head option when a perfect example to copy exist. The Motorola CDM-1550 series has a great method to extend the control head with a minimum of fuss.. even a ham can do it. Please give this some consideration... MANY ham's will thank you.
My experience with the Anytone D-868UV has been very good. The only real 'problem' has been that sometimes I am not certain that pressing the PTT button really makes the necessary electrical connections to transmit.
Absoulity amazing this radio is everything bridgecom say it is and more I wouldn't own anything else only thing I would like to see is some form of a case that would hold the radio and have a spot for the hand mic
This is my first DMR radio and I couldn't be happier! The only drawback that I've seen is that it takes a VERY long time for the GPS to sync in my location...
I have bought several radios for the Bridgecom Folks, and their service and support has been superb. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new radio.
