I am a "tech person" but, it is really nice to literally open up the box of goodies, power everything up and be on the air within minutes. The Training course is designed well with short-ish snippets to get you going and deeper into what your equipment can do.
When in your Mobile here is a great way to save your battery power and when out on Field Day hook up on your 12-volt system.
