I am a "tech person" but, it is really nice to literally open up the box of goodies, power everything up and be on the air within minutes. The Training course is designed well with short-ish snippets to get you going and deeper into what your equipment can do.
This is my first DMR radio. found it easy to program and get up and running. The APRS seems to be working well as well.
