DMR is too hard...yes, we saw that too. We were talking to so many customers who were really frustrated! We were spending hours on the phone helping them. Then it hit us! We could program and set up a package for them that got them on the air in 5 min!
DMR isn't really ham radio...actually ham radio has SO many different kinds and this is just one avenue to explore...one thing about Hams is they LOVE knowledge and new technology and this is combining all the ham knowledge with the NEWEST technology. It also opens the door to talk to people all over the world at any time of the day because these bands are NEVER dead since DMR reaches EVERYWHERE using a hotspot!
I'm too Old to learn DMR...we have helped hams from 15-95 get on ham radio easily.

Best Radio Package of All TIme

I spent a lot of time and effort building my old ham shack, and there were times when I wished it could somehow be magically done for me in one snap of the fingers. Well, it turns out that Bridgecom can make that wish come true! I wanted a complete DMR VHF/UHF shack. I wanted a radio to take with me on my travels and one to use as a base station. The Complete Ham Shack package gave me everything I needed, and it was ready to use immediately out of the box. The Maverick and the D578UVIII are top tier radios, built to last. The sound quality was better than any radio I own. You can even try your hand satellite to send your analog or digital signals further because the Maverick has a built-in satellite tracking system. How cool is that. It will do great APRS as well!

I tried DMR six years ago because I’m an avid HF DXer and wanted to talk around the world without having to set up my HF gear. DMR seemed to be the answer. However, the learning curve was steep and the radio and hotspot I had didn’t work half the time. I gave up. With Bridgecom’s plug and play approach, you can start making contacts within five or ten minutes of powering everything up.

Outstanding package

Easy to set up, great instructions. Worked perfectly out of the box. I was able to work DX stations n the Ukraine and Kuwait within 45 minutes after opening the package. PS: your BridgeCom University instructions are fantastic.
