578 and Mega Hot Spot

I have been into DMR going on 8 years. I purchased the 578 when it first came out and was very happy with it. I just upgraded to the latest version of the 578 and the Max hot spot. Over the years I have at one time owned most of the H/S on the market.
IMHO I do not think there is a better radio and H/S on the market today. If you want the best there is get the 578 and the Max as a plug and play package.

My New Ham Radio

I really haven't got it up an running yet, because I don't fully understand what I have to do, I thought plug and play was plug it in and it did the rest,
Do I have to install anything other than what was in there, The skybridge max is
all set up, I have an altrose plug. And the firmware is 2.07 Please let me know what else I have to do,

The best way to be on amateur radio

I have really enjoyed this DMR system. It is simple to use and lots of fun.

I have not hooked up the radio yet I’m still awaiting a power supply

2d time around as good as the 1st.

I programed my 578 w/ BM, TGIF, and analog repeater (both DMR and 2M) zones (a total of about 6 zones). In addition I've programed the air band and the "p" keys. I did this by rather heavily modifying and adding to the info you had programed into the radio. For a non-techy I found it rather easy and left me with a real sense of accomplishment. Really appreciated the example channels you provided at the channel list. All in all the extra money for the plug and play package was well worth it. Thanks for a great package! 73 KE8NJT
