        Great Company Great radios!!

        I already had the 878 HT and love it so much I bought the 578 for my vehicle. I wanted something that would talk DMR wherever I wanted and it replaces my UHF/VHF radio all in ONE! Now I don't half to mount separate radios in my truck for the bands! LOVE IT

        Well made rig with exceptional features and specs

        This is my first AT-D578UVIII PLUS (purchased to use as my fixed station rig for the 3 FM bands and DMR). I also own an AT-D578UVIII PRO as my permanent mobile rig. These are very well made radios with plenty of power output for me and excellent receiver sensitivity. Also plenty of storage for digital contacts and more than ample memories for all my DMR and legacy FM channels.

        I am disappointed in BridgeCom on this order however. I've purchased a number of radios and hotspots from them, joined the "BridgeCom Plus" program, and up till now their service has been great. This time I asked for the Ultra code plug (which I purchased a few weeks back) to be installed in the rig prior to shipment. I noted that on the order and even sent a separate email asking for that. I got a reply email saying my request was passed on to sales and taken care of. It did not happen. I received was a factory fresh radio that was never out of the box. A sheet of paper from BridgeCom was in the shipping box with links to YouTube presentations on how to program the rigs. It was easy enough to do myself but I travel extensively for my job so I hoped to just fire it up and put it into service right away when I got home from a long week on the road. I hope their service levels aren't going down as they do greater volume of sales. I've seen a lot of ham dealers come and go over my 50+ years in this hobby. I hope this was just a glitch and not a sign of degradation.

        Great radio. I even tried the cross band, cross mode function in this radio and it was easy to set up and it worked perfectly.
        220 band works great even at 5 watts.

        I own 4 radios from Bridgecom, the 868, 878, 878 plus , and like all of these the 578 plus tri band moble is a Home run, with in 30 minutes of opening the box I had the cps installed the radio programed and made my first contact,
