[Bridgetown, Barbados] – The Amateur Radio Society of Barbados (ARSB), a cornerstone of the amateur radio community in Barbados since 1955, is proud to announce the purchase of a new VHF Repeater from BridgeCom Systems. This significant upgrade will enhance the society’s ability to facilitate reliable communication across the island, particularly during emergencies.
"At the Amateur Radio Society of Barbados, our mission is to advance amateur radio in Barbados and ensure we are always ready to support our community in times of need," said Mr. Basil Yearwood, President of ARSB. "The new VHF Repeater from BridgeCom Systems will allow us to maintain clear and reliable communication, ensuring that our members can connect when it matters most."
Mr. Basil Yearwood, with the callsign 8P6GY, has been an Amateur Radio Operator for more than 40 years.
