I am a "tech person" but, it is really nice to literally open up the box of goodies, power everything up and be on the air within minutes. The Training course is designed well with short-ish snippets to get you going and deeper into what your equipment can do.
Have been very pleased with this radio. It has become my default carry HT. Programming is very easy as is creating custom codeplugs. Highly Recommend!
