Only a few days after ordering, the box arrived! The components inside were well protected by the included packaging foam. At first, I encountered some issues with the BridgeCom Maverick, but all those were quickly resolved thanks to the company's wonderful tech support, who helped me get back on the air. Everything else worked like a charm! Keep up the remarkable work, BridgeCom :)
I received this last week after delivery delays by UPS. Amy at Bridgecom was excellent and really went out of her way to make this happen. Easy setup of the SkyBridge and it was up and running. The Maverick is awesome and I love the code plug and how it’s laid out. I think I’m gonna love the 578 once I get it installed in my Jeep especially the BT-01 as it will be the only visible component since I can mount the radio under a seat. That makes this as minimalist as possible. Thank you for selling great products and support.
I am a "virgin" when it comes to all things HAM radio. Decided to pull the trigger on the Ultimate Ham Shack Pack. Quite a collection of radio equipment, very impressive. It contained everything I had hoped for, plus more.
A big plus to the equipment was all of the "extra" in instructional material that came along with the bundle. Not to mention that Bridgecom did all of the heavy lifting prior to shipment. Everything was pre-programmed, saving me numerous hours of trying to figure things out.
I was on the air and communicating world wide in less than a day. It took me that long because I simply didn't know what I didn't know. I am now confident I could have been on the air in less than an hour if I had a bit more experience and knowledge of al things HAM and Hotspots.
One thing I would like Bridgecom to do is be a bit more forward with instructional guidance. Have a single source document that defines the steps to get on line for the first time. In my case, I immediately went to the Bridgecom University videos and out of ignorance, I figured I first needed to upload or update software via the PSU. Totally unnecessary and was a bit frustrating. When I spoke to Bridgecom tech support, they were a bit bewildered that I was doing all that as it was all accomplished prior to shipment. Nowhere within the packaging or company guidance does it let you know those particulars. If I may, since your DMR setup is so incredibly easy to use, include a simplistic "How to get started" menu list. Treat the purchaser as if it is the first time he is using such a setup. Let them know that the Bridgecom University is for use after getting on line, to further refine equipment knowledge and functionality.
The Maverick Handheld is an incredible radio. Communicating via DMR is like talking on the phone, very loud and very clear. As most local operators in my area still rely on analog, I still need to figure that piece out.
I still have numerous questions for "how to functionally" but bottom line, I am very pleased with the package. Still waiting to setup the base and power unit that came with my particular package. Probably tear into that tomorrow.
Technical support; Bridgecom has been excellent in answering my numerous questions. As I mentioned, this is all new to me. I wish I lived next door to their corporate office so that I had daily access, but their response time to my numerous questions has been superb.
All I can really say at this point in my DMR quest, is if you are considering such a setup, pull the trigger with Bridgecom. Their attention to detail is great, and their pre-programming is excellent. If I can do it, I'm sure everyone can. You won't be disappointed.

A fully featured radio with so many options for every operator. I am impressed with what this radio can do and its overall performance in such a small footprint. The band coverage is fantastic and the clarity of audio is spot on. It’s my go to radio as DMR is only one of its many other modes of operations.
I received everything preprogramed. The majority of the hardware (other than radios) was no name and no info on the equipment. I have no idea who built the vehicle antenna, antenna cable, vehicle mount to just name a few. When I turned the radios on I found one programed with the wrong call sign. I would've thought that when it comes programmed it would have local repeaters in the radio. There were none. I have to reprogram to put the right call sign in and add repeaters. Also, once everything is installed I will have to use analyzers to test if this is the right equipment and what is can transmit and receive. I did this because I don't know much about DMR. I think if I would've done it my self I would learned what I needed to know.
