BDR-50U DC Battery Back Up Kit

Purchased a BDR 50U repeater last week. This thing is a beast. Set at 50 watts. Getting a consistent 42 to 43 watts after going through the duplexer with a 1.3 SWR. The audio is top notch and I have increased my range significantly. Lastly, the customer service is unmatched and very personalized. Thank you, Ron, for the great product and excellent customer service. I will definitely give you my business again.

Well, there was no battery and the "kit" does not provide power to even charge a battery. Thus, the description is very misleading. One of the battery backups offered does charge a battery, but what I received does not. More confusing is I could not find a specification for the one that doesn't charge on the website.
There is no way to know what you are getting until the unit arrives.
