Great Radio

I bought the AnyTone 578UVIII PLUS Tri-Band Mobile and BT-01 handheld/remote head.
At the time i bought it the web site said both were in stock, I received the radio in 3 days but had to ask where the BT-01 was 3 times before I was then told it was on back order. I got it 2 weeks after the radio.
I have no issue with things being unavailable or on back order but i do have issue with not being told up front.
All that said the customer service gets a 5, even though it took me a few times to get my answer every interaction was pleasant, helpful and responsive.
The training class was good and it was easy to follow and informative.

The radio so far is outstanding, it does everything I wanted in a radio and more
I purchased the RT systems software and find I like the Anytone software better, if you are a big excel user i think you will find the Anytone software better.
The BT-01 is great, it takes a little work to get it how you like it but after that it is a very good addition to the 578.
The issues I have found with the BT01 are
1- The display brightness is 1-5, 1-4 is dim and 5 is very bright
2- It cuts out some of the key-up tone
3- The speaker pops on every button press and TX or RX
4- Would like separate volume and channel controls

With all that above I am still thinking of another 578/BT-01 combo for my house to use as a base radio. Overall the combo of the 2 is great and with the radio and BT01 being able to be firmware upgraded maybe the issues I have will be fixed in a future release.

Love it

Although I haven't had time to play a lot, it is excellent for what I have used it for. I'm getting great reports of good audio from people.
